Zohreh Aliakbari

Zohreh Aliakbari, born in Tehran, graduated with a bachelor's degree in Cinema from Sooreh University in 2012 and in Sound Design and Digital Sound Engineering from Tehran Technical Institute in 2015. Since 2009, she has been working as a sound assistant at Haftgah Studio and then at Roshana Studio. Since 2018, she has been working independently as a sound designer at Roshana Studio. She has been active as a sound designer in many works and has won numerous awards. Some of her cinematic works include the films "The Road" (presented at the Cannes Film Festival competition section), "Without Her" (also presented at the Cannes Film Festival competition section), "Memories of a Soldier", "Me, Maryam, the children and 26 others" (presented at the Rotterdam Film Festival competition section). She has also participated in dozens of short films and documentaries in Class A festivals and has won many awards not only from domestic festivals but also from numerous international festivals.
