James Barker lives in Jersey City, NJ, with his wife and two cats. He is the proud Founder & CEO of Edits Etc., a post-production collective built on collaboration and artistic integrity.
For the past 10 years, James has worked as a film editor, shaping stories across documentaries, narrative films, and branded content. His experience in post-production has deeply influenced his approach to directing. He understands the rhythm of a scene, the power of visual storytelling, and how every frame contributes to the larger emotional journey. Now, he is shifting his focus toward directing, bringing his keen editorial eye and love for grounded, character-driven narratives to the forefront.
