Lonnie Smith was born on 3 July 1942 in Lackawanna, New York, USA. He was an actor, known for The Wackness (2008), Central Intelligence (2016) and Going in Style (2017). He died on 28 September 2021 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.

Jazz organist who worked with Gladys Knight, George Benson, and Iggy Pop, among others.

His musical inspiration was Hammond-B3 star Jimmy Smith.

Survived by his four daughters: Lani Chambers, Chandra Thomas, Charisse Partridge, and Vonnie Smith, and several grandchildren.
