Brian Matthews Murphy is an actor from Wicklow, best known for roles in features and TV, such as ‘Perdu’, ‘Bring Out The Fear’, ‘The Last Battle of The Vikings’, The Lost City of Z’ and more.
He was also creative producer on 'Perdu' plus has written, produced and directed numerous short films, such as ‘An Dearg Doom’, ‘Second Chance’, ‘Where’s Sami’ and ‘Boxed In’ which have been selected for festivals around the world and in Ireland.
He is the founder of ‘North Wicklow Filmmakers; and cofounder of ‘The Wicklow Stories Film Festival’. His work on the arts has been rewarded with a JCI young person of the year award in the category of Arts and Culture.
