Eleanor Wells is an American writer, director and actress. Born and raised in in the suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from a very early age, she fell in love with the power that stories have to convey universal truths about the human experience. Eagle Rock, her debut short film, follows the first follower of a Charles Manson-like cult leader in the 1960s. Her second, Time in a Bottle, portrays the emotionally abusive marriage of a young photographer in 1970s Milwaukee.
She founded her production company, Cinderella Pictures, in 2020, in order to elevate feminine perspectives that have traditionally been excluded from media. As an actress, she has performed in performed in several stage productions, most memorably as a lauded turn as Laura Wingfield in Tennessee Williams' classic The Glass Menagerie. Additionally, she wrote and hosted the first season of the Double Elvis podcast About A Girl (2020-), following the women who inspired the music of their famous musician partners.
