Biography

Alexei Navalny was born on June 4, 1976 in Butyn, Moscow Oblast, RSFSR, USSR [now Russia]. He was a director and writer, known for Navalny (2022), The Case Is Solved. I Know Everyone Who Tried to Kill Me (2020) and Parazity (2020). He was married to Yulia Navalnaya. He died on February 16, 2024 in FKU IK-3 Prison, Kharp, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia.

His favourite film was Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). At his funeral, the film's theme music was played as his coffin was lowered into the ground.

Relative of Ilya Ivanovich Navalny.

Was a staunch critic of Russian president Vladimir Putin.

The ending of his last name is a rarity in Russian, as most Russian last names end in -sky, -ov, -ev, -in or -oy.
