Juanjo Martínez is a director, screenwriter, producer, and founder of Karivera Producciones, one of Argentina’s most active independent fiction production companies. Since the late 2000s, he has been developing feature films, series, and audiovisual projects outside of traditional financing models, building his own filmography through self-management and consistent production.
His career began with independent short films before he directed his first feature film, *Corazones en Llamas*, in 2011. Since then, he has written, produced, and directed numerous works across various genres, including action, thriller, comedy, drama, and satire, among them *Cuadras Largas*, *Unidad 23*, *Surfeando tu Mundo*, *Historias de Hotel*, *Volviendo a Casa: Esperanza*, and *Una Noche Buena*.
Throughout his career, he has distinguished himself by spearheading large-scale projects in the independent film scene, working simultaneously as a director, screenwriter, producer, editor, and mentor to new production teams. His production model is characterized by bringing together emerging actors, technicians, and filmmakers in collaborative projects developed under the Karivera Producciones banner.
He is currently developing "Multiverso," a large-cast action and science fiction production, as well as new films, series, and comedy formats created within the Karivera Producciones universe.
