- Joshua Thomas Hawkins is an actor that was born in Fredericksburg, Texas on April 25, 1985. At age 28, he began his career when he was cast in the feature film Men, Women & Children (2014) starring Adam Sandler. The director Jason Reitman actually hand picked him to work the hospital scenes with actress Jennifer Garner. But he is most known for his role in seasons 1 & 2 of the hit TV Series American Crime (2015) created by Oscar winner John Ridley. Josh has since appeared on such television shows as The Leftovers (2014) on HBO and Tiny and Shekinah's Weave Trip (2014) on VH1. He also made an appearance in the feature film My All-American (2015) with Aaron Eckhart and Robin Tunney.
Josh soon moved into commercials as well when he was cast as the lead Veteran in a national Denny's Veterans Day commercial (which has aired nationally for the past 3 years on every Veterans Day) and another lead role in a Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep commercial. Besides pursuing his acting career, Josh has many other hobbies such as skydiving, shark diving, base jumping and traveling the world.

- After graduating high school in 2003, Joshua enlisted in the U.S. Army and was shipped off to Fort Sill, Oklahoma for Basic Combat Training.
- Joshua was hand chosen to meet his favorite basketball star Grant Hill at the NBA All Star Western Conference in San Antonio, Texas. Not only did he get a chance to meet his idol and hang out with him but also had his #33 Grant Hill (Detroit Pistons) jersey signed by him.
- Joshua had more than a few brushes with death in his past. As a teen, Josh was nearly shot in the head by a childhood acquaintance, robbed at gunpoint and has been in several major automotive accidents including being ejected through a windshield. Josh and his young son Roman barely escaped a house fire that almost took their lives and nearly destroyed everything they owned.
