- Jyoti Madnani Singh, popularly known as JMS, is an award-winning costume designer, fashion stylist, and filmmaker. Born in Rajasthan, often called the cultural capital of India, Jyoti grew up with a deep fascination for fashion, colors, and storytelling through costumes. After completing her schooling in Kota, she joined the prestigious National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mumbai in 2005, graduating in 2009. Since then, she has designed and styled costumes across feature films, advertising films, and theatre productions, bringing her unique vision to the screen and stage.
Her work has been widely recognized-Jyoti received a nomination for the IIFA Awards (2016) in the Costume Design category, and in 2017 she was honored with the "Kota Ratn" Award for her significant contributions to fashion and costume design. Expanding her creative journey into filmmaking, Jyoti made her directorial debut with the short film I Am Not Down, which earned international acclaim and multiple national and international awards. She also holds the prestigious title of Best Costume Designer at the 48th Kerala Film Critics Awards. With her expertise that blends tradition, modernity, and cinematic storytelling, Jyoti continues to redefine the art of fashion and costume design.
