- Dieuwke de Mooij is a bilingual actress (Dutch/English) and singer born in Rijnsburg, the Netherlands. She studied Acting & Singing at Creare School of the Arts in Bloemfontein, South Africa. Dieuwke speaks English as her second language (both Standard American and Estuary British English she speaks like a native), as well as German, French and Afrikaans.
After her studies in SA, Dieuwke went back to the Netherlands and enrolled full-time in Utrecht University studying Journalism. There she learned the tricks and trades of working behind the scenes of different television shows. Meanwhile she continued to develop herself further as an actress, singer and director. After playing the lead role in several films, Dieuwke decided to write, produce and direct three Short Films of her own: 'We Dance', 'We Love' and 'We War', which screened at different film festivals around the globe in 2018. In 2019 she gathered a writers room to start writing the television series 'We Run'.

To show them joy, tears, surrender, relief, anger because of injustice etc etc. and to evoke those same feelings in them. That they'll go home with new revelations, new hope, new perspectives or simply laughter. That they'll be mesmerized because of what they have seen through my character, through the music, or through the composition of the images itself.
