Bass Hathaway is an award-winning film director, producer, screenwriter, and composer with a passion for storytelling. Born in Oxford, England, Hathaway grew up in England, Ireland, and Australia, where he attended schools in those countries. He later studied Acting at the Sydney Theatre School and Directing at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts. Hathaway's early years were marked by his involvement in numerous theatre and film productions, both short and long format. Collaborating with other artists, he continued to hone his craft as a storyteller, working notably with Digital Realm filmmaker Karl Jenner in film productions.

Many of Hathaway's short films have received acclaim at film festivals around the world, including Hindsight, Death After Life, Occupied, and Dead, Not Dying. These films serve as proof of concept films that Hathaway is developing into theatrical films. In addition to his own projects, Hathaway has worked on many other projects by other filmmakers, gaining valuable experience as an Assistant Director, Camera Operator, Sound Recordist, and other roles on set.
