- Alvaro Calderón Sr. (Abdé) was a Spanish actor and writer who performed in theater plays, television shows and independent films in Mexico. He was born on January 29, 1937 and passed away on March 15, 2019. Best known for starring in Yo Soy Nestor (2017) and El taco en México (2006). He has acted in countless shorts and features including: Rinoplasticos II (2006), Heroes of Destiny (2014) and Valentina (2006). He published two books, the first being "Se Hace Poesía al Andar", which includes a collection of poetry and scripts for theater plays. His second book, "Detras de tus Ojos Verdes", was written in collaboration with his daughter Mayte Calderón. It details the life of his mother, his father and his childhood.

- The ocean has always been a fundamental part of my life. And I link that ocean with facts related with real life. I put events from my life into that ocean. And from there I make a poetic scramble that comes out in verses. The verses do not have to rhyme exactly. What's important is that there's a poetic content in what one is expressing.
