Cathy Burnside is an Irish born Australian actress residing in Sydney. Born Catherine Matilda Burnside on March the 3rd to a family of five children, Cathy grew up on the stage along with her siblings, proving that performing was in the family. Cathy has studied an Advanced Diploma in Acting for Stage and Screen, has worked on numerous film and television and stage projects from a very young age. She is the proud mother of a beautiful young boy, Xavier, who also works in acting from time to time. Cathy's talent is outstanding. Her natural versatility as and actress is a force to be reckoned with, she is an actress with a great ability for accents and a flare for playing both comedic characters, Period drama characters and strong, fiercely passionate feisty women. Film acting has taken Cathy to all corners of the world which allows Cathy to fulfill her other passion, travel. Her drive and commitment as an actress is unstoppable, her down to earth nature and zest for life is contagious. Cathy also writes, directs and coaches acting to children and adults with great success.
