Scott Fitzgerald novel's ending line, "So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.".

Is a huge fan of Corey Feldman, so much so that not only does he own a copy of Feldman's memoir "Coreyography", but also owns a T-shirt that says "Corey Feldman Rocks!". McGann can be seen wearing this shirt in his review of "Griffon The Brush Off" for The Sugarcube Critic (2013).

He has said that The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006) is his favorite film of all time.
