Born in Devon, England, Jacob Foan was born deaf in his right ear and struggled with communication until age seven, when he discovered a piano in his best friend’s house. That moment marked the beginning of a lifelong relationship with music as language.
After completing his MA at Goldsmiths, London, Jacob wrote, starred in, and produced the independent romantic drama Don’t Let Go, earning critical attention and opening doors across North America.
In Los Angeles, he was selected from over 30,000 applicants to compete in the international TV music competition ISINA, mentored by Grammy-winning producer Walter Afanasieff (My Heart Will Go On, Hero) and American Idol judge Randy Jackson. Jacob went on to win the competition.
Though the production was never broadcast, the experience became the catalyst for a more personal creative chapter. Returning to the UK in 2023, Jacob began developing Pyjama Man - a music-driven romantic drama inspired by themes of collapse, recovery, and belonging.
