Biography

Adwoa Akoto is a British actress known for her compelling performances across film and television. She made her mark in HBO/BBC's acclaimed I May Destroy You and has since built a strong portfolio of diverse roles. Her work includes standout performances in Hapless Season 2 (Amazon/Peacock), the political drama This England (Sky), and the Apple TV+ original thriller Surface Season 2.

On the big screen, Adwoa stars in the award-winning feature film, The Fisherman, which earned international recognition - premiering at the Venice Film Festival, winning the UNESCO Award and Best Narrative Feature at PAFF. She has an extensive body of work in feature films, including the gripping detective thriller, The Buckingham Murders (Netflix), with more exciting projects on the horizon.
