Son of actor/screenwriter John Harding and stepson of screenwriter/Broadway playwright Isobel Lennart. John is the author of the book, Escape from Paradise, which has been optioned to Thunderball Films. Bai Ling, who starred opposite Richard Gere in Red Corner, has signed on to play the lead role in the film.

John Harding was the co-author with his wife May Harding of the book, Escape from Paradise, From Third World to First. The book was picked up by a movie company and John wrote the script. The film starred the Chinese actress, Bai Ling, playing the role of May Harding. Bai Ling starred with Richard Gere in the film Red Corner. The film started shooting just before the Covid-19 Pandemic started and had to close down. Who knows if the film will ever be made as it takes a lot of time to get the financing and to assemble the cast. At this point, I moved temporarily to Italy and planned to return to America when the pandemic dies.
