- Born and raised in Paris, the Norwegian director Henrik Rostrup has been directing commercials, short films and documentaries for the past 12 years.
His passion for the creative world stems from an initial career as a ski filmmaker, spending most of his time in the cold mountains where he discovered the liberating conveyance of shooting handheld 16mm films, producing numerous ground-breaking documentaries and shorts.
Henrik is a restlessly creative, versatile individual, who in 2007 formed the highly acclaimed production company Pixl Family in Stockholm. Leaving the world of action sports, he has spent the latter years shaping his career with a body of work that includes campaigns for Helly Hansen, Peak Performance, Urbanears, Absolut Vodka, Electrolux, Malibu Rum, Red Bull, Suunto and Adidas.
He has won gold at the 2014 Webbys and 2014 Mashies for the Absolut Drinks in Motion campaign, silver at the Cannes TV Festival, Best Cinematography at the Rio De Janeiro film festival and a 'Best Documentary' Shortlist at the 2014 Lovie Awards for his second documentary feature 'Between Places'.
Henrik is also a well established editor and coffee drinker.
