Sandra Diana Cantú was born in Laredo, TX. As a third-generation actor,
she and her family moved to Los Angeles when she was less than a year
old. Her grandfather (Carlos H. Cantú) had a recurring role in "Knotts
Landing" as well as national ad campaigns. Her father, Juan Carols
Cantú, has even more credits to his name, including a recurring role on
"The Bridge" as Capitán Robles and "Better Call Saul" as Manuel Varga (aka Nacho's Dad).
After graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy of New York City, Sandra returned to Los Angeles. She's appeared in half a dozen national ad campaigns for McDonald's, Six Flags, Nationwide Insurance, and more. She's guest-starred in numerous web series, short films, and LA theatre productions including the world premiere of "Rock Van Winkle," a rock musical comedy, "West Side Story" as Anita, and "In the Heights" as Vanessa. She's also lent her voice acting talents to educational app codeSpark Academy, voicing several lead characters.
In 2022, Sandra and her husband, actor Chris M. Kauffmann, welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world. The family resides in the LA area along with their two dogs, Captain Jack Sparrow and Scallywag.
