Fisayo Akinade was born December 28th 1987 in Liverpool, England. He trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. As well as his theatre work he is also known for Heartstopper(2022), Atlanta (2022), The Personal History of David Copperfield (2019), Cucumber/Banana (2015) and The Girl with all the Gifts (2016)

When he was a baby he and his Nigerian parents went to Nigeria, returning to live in Manchester when he was an infant of four or five.

His mother is a carer, first with the elderly and now with people with adult learning difficulties.
