Jesse Turner is an Australian Stunt Performer and Assistant Stunt Coordinator who is best known for his work on Shang - Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022), Furious: A Mad Max Saga (2024) and Mortal Kombat 2.
He was originally born in South Australia and found his passion for parkour and film in 2005. In 2007 Jesse graduated from the Australian Stunt Academy and by 2009 he was revered not only as a professional parkour athlete but a pioneer of the movement. He now calls the Gold Coast of Australia home and began performing in live action shows at Warner Brothers Movie World and Sea World in 2010.
As a world recognised professional parkour athlete in 2011, Jesse received his first international lead role for a commercial in Thailand which opened a door to a lead stunt doubling role in India on the Indian action film Vishwaroopam. During the filming of this project he was officially graded by MEAA as a stunt performer in Australia.
Through 2012 Jesse performed stunts on feature films such as The Wolverine (2013), The Railway Man (2013) and I'Frankenstein (2014) which built the foundation for his future success. In the coming years he would not only play a character on Unbroken (2014) but built up to a full time role in the core stunt team on Suicide Squad (2016).
After winning Australia's biggest parkour competition the (2016) Jump Off Speed Run - Division 1, Jesse competed on shows such as Australian Ninja Warrior and Ultimate Beastmaster.
Jesse now has a wife and two children who he adores and, as a family man, he is still the foremost parkour athlete in the film industry. His specialist skills demonstrate a high standard for precision and excellence in the execution of stunt sequences.
Over the span of his impressive 12 year career, Jesse has garnered global recognition through his parkour ability and stunt achievements on internationally acclaimed feature films.
Jesse is the recipient of four SAG awards and has recently become qualified as an Assistant Stunt Coordinator, a testament to his experience, dedication and leadership.
