Conor Anthony McGregor is an Irish mixed martial artist who competes in the featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He began his professional mixed martial arts (MMA) career in 2008 after leaving his job as a plumber. In 2009, he attended UFC 93 and was so inspired by the experience that he began pursuing a dream, of one day having a career in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. On 9 March 2008, Conor McGregor made his professional MMA debut at Cage of Truth 2, defeating Gary Morris by second round TKO.

First person in the history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship to hold titles in two weight divisions simultaneously.

He has named Muhammad Ali and Bruce Lee as two of his biggest inspirations.

He is trained in and uses Boxing, Kickboxing, Capoeira, Taekwondo, Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Wrestling in his matches.

Ordered to pay Nikita Hand $258,000 damages in Nov 24 after a jury found that McGregor had assaulted her in a Dublin hotel in Dec 18. McGregor plans to appeal.
