Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Born in Bowling Green, Ky Michael grew up backstage at the Grand Ole Opry in the company of family friend and music legend, Bill Monroe. Michael started singing and playing music in his teens and spent most of his youth touring and recording his own music. In 2010 he moved to Chicago to study improv and to develop his acting career. He attended Second City and the original IO Theatre where he also performed. He spent two years with the cast of Million Dollar Quartet performing several roles.

He was nominated for a 2015 Joseph Jefferson Equity Award for Actor in a Revue for &quot;Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash&quot; at the Mercury Theater and at the Theater at the Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Is the namesake of legendary music pioneer Bill Monroe, and spent his childhood backstage at the Grand Ole Opry.

He has played the roles of Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and Carl Perkins in the Tony Award winning musical Million Dollar Quartet.

Was given an audition for Saturday Night Life in 2012, but was passed over for Cecily Strong.

Has released two original studio albums of Americana music &quot;Unbreakable Heart&quot; and &quot;The Flag, The Bible, &amp; Bill Monroe&quot; on his record label MammerJam Records.
