Sean Dobra is a multi-award-winning, producer, director, and cinematographer.
After completing a bachelor of film production in 2012, he founded his own company, Starmax Films.
In 2022 he won Best Documentary at the Cosmic Film Festival for his new feature film These Two Hands - The Story of Bowen and also received finalist nominations at the prestigious Oniros Awards New York and Sanctuary Film Festival. He is well known for his awarding winning short documentary "Who is Matthew Simpson?" which won multiple awards in Australia and the US.
In 2016 Sean produced and was the director of photography on the cultural feature film Found in a Dream which has won a number of awards in Africa and the US.
He recently completed the groundbreaking feature film From Depression With Love expected to be on Netflix in early 2023 after it has completed its festival run.
As well as directing Sean has also starred in numerous roles as lead and supporting actor.
With his diverse range of skills in film production, not even the stars are the limit for Sean Dobra & Starmax Films.
