  • Marli Wren is a talented composer for film and television, known for his original soundtrack on "Black Is Beautiful", an important documentary about pioneering Harlem photographer and its unsung godfather Kwame Brathwaite. He also scored Channel 4's hit comedy drama "The Curse" which ran for 2 seasons. His most recent works include BBC Comedy Short Films; "Donkey!" (directed by Sarmad Masud), "Spinster" (directed by Sarah Gordon) and a featured song called 'Dont Jump' on Charlie Brooker's "Cunk On Life" (Netflix). Marli's most recent Music Editor credits include; Lena Dunham's "Too Much" (Netflix), Guy Ritchie's "Mobland" (Paramount) and from the creator of Peaky Blinders, "House Of Guinness" (Netflix)

    With over a decade experience, Marli has worked with numerous influential composers and artists including: Ilan Eshkeri, Steve McLaughlin, Keefus Ciancia, Atli Orvarsson, Gordy Haab, Matthew Herbert, Razorlight's Andy Burrows, Elbow's Guy Garvey and Kasabian's Sergio Pizzorno. Marli is an accomplished musician and his band Quills is set to release their debut album this summer, distributed by Mahogony Songs. He's currently creating a neo-soul album, commissioned by Audio Network and has produced Demira Jansen's latest album "Iggy".

    As a musician, career highlights include a European tour with MOBO nominee Julia Biel (including supporting Bob Dylan), a UK tour with Parliamentary Jazz Instrumentalist of the year, Arun Ghosh and performing "Space Station Earth" at the Royal Albert Hall, a collaboration between Ilan Eshkeri, Tim Peake and the European Space Agency.
