Biography

Raised in Laguna Beach, California, the daughter of former Marines, Anastasia grew up with classical cello and ballet juxtaposed with weekends at Marine youth camp. Anastasia continued with ballet and a subsequent scholarship to the Stella Adler Academy while acting with the South Coast Repertory Company. She has also pursued a lifelong passion in film history with an emphasis on horror.

Anastasia presently works as an actress, director, dancer, choreographer, burlesque artist, staff writer/video host at Dread Central and is an active reviewer at Film Threat.

She lives in the Hollywood Hills with husband Richard Elfman, whom she is collaborating with on upcoming genre projects. Their soon-to-be released film Bloody Bridget, starring Anastasia, has won 25 film festivals and is spawning a horror hosting and film compilation series.

The Elfman’s currently play in the band, Mambo Diabolico and perform live music and burlesque pre-shows at their screenings. They host an underground food/wine and performance salon," The Barbecue Bacchanals."

[dancing burlesque] I personally don't consider my performances "burlesque" in the classic sense, though I do call it that as a generic term so audiences know there will be some nuances of nudity (though it's mostly smoke & mirrors-you'd see as much skin at the beach). I'm a professional and classically trained dancer. My numbers bend more into the dark and horrific surreal with a pinch of comedy and are heavily choreographed.
