Good friends with Jodie Comer, with whom she attended the St Julie's Catholic High School in Liverpool.
She was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2025 King's New Years Honours List for her services to athletics in Liverpool, Merseyside, England.
In 2024, Kat appeared on a celebrity edition of the UK game show Deal or No Deal (2023) and took away £10,777 for her chosen charities Listening Ear and Alzheimer's Society UK.
