Biography

Gladys Berejiklian was born on September 22, 1970 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Member of the New South Wales Parliament for Willoughby (22 March 2003 - ), Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party in New South Wales (17 April 2014 - 23 January 2017), Minister for the Hunter (23 April 2014 - 2 April 2015), Minister for Industrial Relations (2 April 2015 - 30 January 2017), Minister for Transport (3 April 2011 - 2 April 2015), 62nd Treasurer of New South Wales (2 April 2015 - 30 January 2017), Leader of the Liberal Party in New South Wales (23 January 2017 - 5 October 2021), 45th Premier of New South Wales (23 January 2017 - 5 October 2021).

Spoke only Armenian until she was five years old, when she began learning English.

In 2015, she attended a commemoration ceremony in Yerevan for the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

She has a Bachelor of Arts (1992) and a graduate diploma in international studies (1996) from the University of Sydney and a Masters in Commerce from the University of New South Wales (2001).

Supports the Australian republican movement.
