Biography

Born 1989 from an Italian father and an American mother, he exploded on the web as soon as he was 18, posting phone pranks on his YouTube channel. In 2009 he landed on Le Iene, which he was tied to at length initially as a field reporter, and later as a show host. In 2015 he debuted as a judge for Italia's Got Talent, turning out to be so right for and at ease in the role that he got called back for all six of the next seasons. In 2021 he starred in the first and enthralling season of LOL - chi ride è fuori (Last One Laughing) which airs exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. He already has seven movies on his resume, including Sono Tornato (I'm Back), by Luca Miniero, Tonno Spiaggiato, written by Matano himself together with Matteo Martinez, and the upcoming Una notte da dottore, with Diego Abatantuono. Also to his credit: The Comedians, a Sky comedy TV show that he stars in with Claudio Bisio, and two dubbing jobs, first in South Park and then in Zootropolis by Walt Disney Pictures.

Born in Carinola (Caserta, Italy) to an italiano father and an Americano mother. At just 18, he achieved digital success thanks to his YouTube channel where he posted videos of prank calls and social experiments. Thanks to his success on the web, in 2009 he started as an envoy for the investigative journalism program Le Iene, offering irreverent and surreal comedy for 5 years, and in 2016 he was also a host for the show. In 2015 he was chosen by Fremantle for the first Sky edition of Italia's Got Talent, aired in 2015, of which he was a judge and was confirmed for the subsequent editions (2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022), and then in 2023 for the first Disney+ edition. In 2021 he took part in the first edition of "Lol" on Prime Video and was confirmed as co-host for the following two seasons, as well as the 2022 edition of "Lol" Xmas Special. In 2022, again on Prime Video, he hosted the first edition of Prova Prova Sa Sa, a comedy improvisation program of which he was also the author. In early 2023 Prime Video confirmed the second edition. In his curriculum he already has 7 movies, including Sono Tornato directed by Luca Miniero, and Tonno Spiaggiato, from an original screenplay written by Frank himself and Matteo Martinez. In 2021 he returned in theaters with Una notte da dottori, alongside Diego Abatantuono. Today, Frank is a versatile performer, able to work on every platform: TV, cinema and the web.
