Three-time Golden Calf winner Laura Bakker is widely regarded as one of the most fearless and versatile talents in the Dutch film and television industry. With a unique signature-a seamless blend of raw realism and absurdist humor-she has firmly established herself at the top of her field.

Her exceptional talent has been repeatedly recognized by the Netherlands Film Festival. Bakker won her first Golden Calf in 2021 for Best Leading Role in a Short Film for Heartbeats. In 2024, she made history by claiming two Golden Calves in a single night: Best Supporting Role for the feature film Dit is geen kerstfilm and Best Leading Role in a Short Film for Marleen. The jury praised her "phenomenal timing and ability to reveal a complete inner world with minimal means," describing her as an actress who "dares to embrace discomfort and, in doing so, deeply moves the audience."

As a creator, she formed half of the celebrated cabaret duo n00b, with whom she won the prestigious Neerlands Hoop award in 2023.
