Biography

  • Idria Niosi is a director, author and production manager of cinema, events, theater and web TV. Her artistic experience has started during the first years of university studies, in the role of assistant director for several theatre shows. She collaborated with Giorgio Albertazzi, Michele Placido, Peppe Barra and the choreographer Gianni Santucci and André De La Roche. She has won two awards for directing short plays (best show and best emerging director). As assistant director she has participated to the realization of the short film "Il Giorno del mio compleanno" ("The day of my birthday", TN) by Roberto Capucci, selected for the David of Donatello Award, and of the film "Father" by Pasquale Squitieri, with Claudia Cardinale and Franco Nero. In the role of production manager, she has collaborated with Renato Greco for the staging of the musical comedy "La Tosca" by Luigi Magni. Later on, after completing a degree in Arts and Performing Sciences, with a thesis on "Cine-television digitization", she has specialized in event organization and show marketing management. She has been general manager of a web series distributed on PrimoItalia, the foremost Italian internet TV, and of the pilot episode "Reserved prognosis" of the web series "Them", which has won the contest "Hello! Series", promoted by BNL Gruppo BNP Paribas in collaboration with Future Film Festival. In 2014 she directed the noir comedy "How to be widows without affecting the criminal record", best show within the theatre program "Sguardi S-Velati" at Teatro Due in Rome. In 2015 she realized the short film "Talk as I can feel" (special mention of the jury at RIFF Awards 2016) as author and director, in collaboration with 24Fotogrammi workshop "La Sapienza" University of Rome, under the patronage of MiBACT, Regione Lazio, MIUR, ENS and NuovoIMAIE. At present she's working in management and creative direction of video content for advertising campaigns, corporate and institutional events.
