Biography

Andrew Coughlin is a self-taught filmmaker who began making short films in 2012. After spending a decade in Los Angeles, he recently moved back to the Midwest, where he continues to write, direct, shoot, and edit his films independently. He has since completed sixteen projects, ranging from dialogue-driven narratives made with small crews to deeply personal works created entirely on his own.

His recent films including The Small Hours, Grief Is a Room, The Days I Hold, French Toast, and Talking Point, mark a creative turning point. Crafted with no budget, no crew, and minimal gear, they reflect a stripped-down, intimate approach to storytelling.

Andrew's work is grounded in character and conversation, often exploring the quiet drama of everyday relationships.
