Biography

Dominican-American filmmaker Ricky Rosario, has gained a multitude of production experience that spans across various commercials, films and music videos. In 2019, after screening at over 10 film festivals - Abuela's Luck, a short film, he wrote, produced and directed, was acquired by HBO Latino and made its television debut in October 2019. The short film is currently streaming on HBO Max and airing across all HBO channels. Abuela's Luck was listed as one of Remezcla's Top 10 Short Films by US Latino Directors for 2018. Ricky is currently developing and raising money for the "Abuela's Luck" feature film.

Ricky's following directorial effort, the short film "It's Who You Know", was acquired by Aspire TV and made its television debut in April 2020 as part of their "Urban Indie Film Block" program. Since 2019, Ricky has been a producer on the food and culture YouTube series "Potluck" from Private Arcade, which is now in its second season. Hermit, the award winning short film, that Ricky helped produce, is currently being submitted and screened (mostly online due to Covid-19) at various film festivals.

Ricky has helped produce music videos for some of the industry's most dynamic artists out today - K Camp, Megan the Stallion, Alcover, Ryan Caraveo, Isaac Dunbar, Conan Gray, Kodak Black, Flamingosis, Ehiorobo and others.

In the advertising space, Ricky has had the opportunity to produce commercials for corporate brands such as Timex, Disney, Build-a-Bear, Survey Monkey and more.

With a dual undergrad degree in Marketing and Finance from Seton Hall University (Class of '11), Ricky is highly budget conscience when it comes to efficient and powerful storytelling.

Ricky joined Fourwind Films LLC in 2015, but before getting into the film industry, Ricky worked at NBCU/Telemundo as an Affiliate Relations Analyst. Outside of production, he is an avid photographer as well.

Ricky splits his time between New Jersey, Miami and Los Angeles.
