Biography

Jim Boyd embarked on an acting career after five decades in broadcast television as a news producer, general assignment reporter and newscaster, from a mail room in public TV in New York City to anchor/reporter at WCVB-TV, Boston's news-leading ABC affiliate. After retiring Jim Boyd attended UMass and Tufts Universities to earn the Bachelor's Degree he abandoned years earlier. Jim Boyd began acting after graduation in 2013 working American Hustle, The Equalizer, The Judge, The Forger, Olive Kitteridge, Chasing Life and Unfinished Business. His other projects include Ted 2, Spotlight, Irrational Man, Ghostbusters, November Criminals, Showtime's Billions, Orange is the New Black, Cadaver, Super Troopers II, Chappaquiddick, Patriots Day, Stronger, Polka King, Manchester by the Sea and Detroit. He's also appears in TV commercials and industry print layouts.
