Biography

Patrick Adam Peña

Biography

  • Patrick Adam Peña is an award-winning filmmaker from Hammond Indiana, birthplace of Jean Shepherd and legendary professional wrestler Terry Funk.

Much like Jean Shepherd and his "A Christmas Story" stand-in Ralphie, Patrick attended Warren G Harding Elementary School, eventually graduating from Morton Senior High School.

Patrick is half-Mexican and half-white and has been influenced by strange, macabre and outsider art from a young age.

He started his filmmaking journey after watching the making of documentary "Full Tilt Boogie," which chronicled the production of "From Dusk til Dawn." From there he realized being on a movie set is all he wants to do.

Patrick is an artist of many disciplines from writing, directing, editing, acting, voice acting, visual effects, prop making, graphic design, acrylic painting and paper mache.

His work is characterized by dark humor, satire and anxious societal anger. He also tends to incorporate cannabis and professional wrestling into his work in order to normalize these things for the masses.

His first feature film "The Vixen of Vengeance" was produced for $800, while his follow-up feature "Microdosing" cost around $7000.

His DIY aesthetic and unique sense of tone make him a standout artist and is self-described as a "Half-Mexican Midwest Folk Artist."
