Sarah Carlot Jaber is a Belgian writer-director based in Brussels. Her work explores power structures, memory and representation through audacious, genre-defying storytelling.
Her short films, including La protagoniste (2021) and Les yeux d'Olga (2023), have received international acclaim and numerous awards. Blending dark comedy and satire with formally inventive narratives, she crafts bold, female-centered stories that interrogate both cinema and society.
She is currently developing her first animated feature film, La colline du thym, inspired by her father’s experience during the siege of Tel al-Zaatar, alongside a Brussels-set dark comedy crime series.
