Alexa Aimes was born on March 7, 1989 in San Francisco, California. Alexa grew up as a ward of the state; she became emancipated at age 16 and got her GED. Aimes attended the University of California, Davis, where she graduated with honors and received a BSN Degree with a double major in physiology and micro biology. Alexa worked as a nurse at a hospital, at a temp agency, and as a loss and litigation specialist prior to beginning her career in the adult entertainment industry as a web-cam model for the adult website Kink.com. Aimes first started performing in explicit hardcore movies in 2013.
