Jessica Benhamou is London-based British French writer and director with a background in investigative journalism. Previous work includes: Alchemy of the Word (2024), a film about the damned poets, Rimbaud and Verlaine; Love is a Hand Grenade (2020), a drama about a friendship on ice; and Sadeh (2021), a documentary about a disabled climate activist. She has a number of TV and feature projects in funded development: Barren, a TV series with Misfits Entertainment, which was selected for the 2025 WFTV Kay Mellor Screenwriters’ Lab; and Bambi, a feature film with Origin Pictures which explores the origin story of the world's most famous deer. Jessica has also been selected for the Directors UK Inspire Scheme 2026.
