Pioneer jazz guitarist who came to prominence as a member of the Nat King Cole Trio (playing an over-sized instrument named 'Yellow Cloud'). Subsequently worked with Oscar Peterson's trio in 1952 and as a studio musician for MGM and 20th Century Fox.
