Michael originally studied Jazz piano at the Conservatory in Utrecht with a minor in theatre acting. He studied film acting in Los Angeles with Anthony Meindl and Jenny Krater. He has performed in various indie features and national commercials in the USA as well as in numerous (inter)national short films some of which were nominated in festivals as the Burbank Film Festival (USA), Bend Film Festival Oregon (USA), Trinity Film Festival Detroit (USA) and Budapest Short Film Festival (Hungary).

As a music composer and producer he has worked with a.o. Patti Labelle, Nona Hendryx, Billy Preston, Lisa Simone, Jennifer Holiday.

Michael Wouters composed and wrote a song for Rosa Parks, for which he received a personal 'thank you' letter from Mrs. Parks. The song was later recorded by Patti Labelle, Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash on their reunion album 'Back To Now'.
Michael Wouters composed and wrote a song for the late Michael Jackson 'There Will Never Be Another You', which was performed during the 'This Is It Tribute Tour' by the original band members on their Asia tour, with MD Mo Pleasure, and sung by Tony Terry and Vann Johnson.
The film 'Short' received several nominations for best foreign film in Film Festivals in Oregon, Burbank, Detroit and Budapest. The film 'I'll Meet You There' received a nomination for best film at the YAKFA festival. The film 'Tiemen' received a nomination for best cinematography at the 48 Hour Film Festival in Rotterdam.
Michael Wouters co-composed and wrote a song called 'Daddy's Caddy' with the late Billy Preston, which he recorded with Neo Soul singer Brown Hill for his debut album.
Michael Wouters has worked as a jazz pianist and producer for Nina Simone's daughter (album Simone on Simone, song 'Black Is The Color').
