Biography

Soley Bernal is a filmmaker and journalist, born in Bogotá, Colombia. Since 2000 she settled in Costa Rica, where her career has consolidated as a producer, director, scriptwriter and editor. He has worked for several projects on TV, such as news, magazines, documentaries and directed advertising.

Her work in fiction (series and feature films), became relevant with the television series Laquiera (2012) broadcast and produced in Costa Rica by Teletica Channel 7. Her crude and realistic style makes her work as a director begin to stand out. With her first project "The happiest place in the world" (2015), he achieved a success at the box office with 22,000 attendees in his first weekend. In 2017 premiered the drama "Awaken" starring the famous Mexican actor Rafael Rojas.
