Biography

Gillian Harker was born in Luton, Bedfordshire, where she attended Cardinal Newman Roman Catholic High School. She completed a BA degree at The University of Kent, in English and American Literature, and then went on to train at The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, where she graduated in 2013 with a Masters in Acting. She now lives in London where her focus is on film-producing, script-writing and acting.

Gillian Harker is a multi-award winning actor, director and writer. Her latest film 'Jinx' (June 2020) was shortlisted for Cannes Film Festival and was screened internationally after winning a top-place finish in the Straight 8 competition. She wrote, directed and starred in 'Cross' (2019) which premiered at the Little Wing Film Festival; it was nominated for Best UK Short, and won Best Male Actor. Her 'I Will Survive' parody (2020) was lauded by the British Comedy Guide. Other accolades include a Best Supporting Actress Nomination in Tim Rolt's 'Peninsula' at Southampton Film Festival (2019)
