Haley Rice is a NYC-based actor, writer and director.
Haley is an accomplished writer herself and has a body of work that spans from full-length plays to multiple pilots and feature screenplays. She's studied TV-Writing through UCLA, playwriting at Primary Stages, and a founding member of The Writers' Block since 2019. Haley has had artist residencies at The Ace Hotel and Theatre 4the People's @TheBarn.
Script Awards and Placements include: Austin Film Festival Second Rounder, Honorable Mention at Genre Blast Film Festival, Semi-Finalist in Sedona International Film Festival, Top 30 at Sam French OOB Short Pay Festival, Finalist in Austin Under the Stars Festival, Finalist in LA Femme International Film Festival, Finalist in the DTLA Film Festival screenplay competition, Semi-Finalist Emerging Screenwriters Competition, and Quarter-finalist in the Vancouver International Women in Film Festival.
Messy Stars Productions was founded by Caycee Black, J.D. Brookshire + Haley Rice with the mission to create environments where creativity can bloom. With every project they take on, they strive to manage it with fun, fairness, and freedom. Their first short Filling the Void (2022) won best comedy at Portland Comedy Film Festival and was selected for Julien Dubuque International Film Festival, San Diego International Film Awards, London Indie Short Festival, Austin International Art Festival. Their next project This is Love!? written by Tom Hausher is set to release in January 2025. MSP is NYC-based and actively looking to collaborate with other like-minded artists.
