Biography

  • Slaven Doslo is a Serbian actor whose breakout performance in Next to me (2015), Serbia's biggest domestic film that year, attracted critical acclaim at home and abroad. Building on this early success, Doslo continued developing his career across both stage and screen, taking on many television roles and stage work at most of Belgrade's theatres. His most recent film credit is Beautiful Evening, Beautiful Day (2025), a Croatian, Canadian, Polish, Cypriot, and Bosnian co-production in which he played Stevan, one of four friends-turned-filmmakers navigating political repression in 1950s Yugoslavia. The film was selected as Croatia's official submission for the 97th Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category and went on to screen at more than 40 international festivals, winning 18 awards. A graduate of Belgrade's Academy of Arts, trained under acclaimed actress Mirjana Karanović, Doslo brings a grounded, emotionally direct presence to both dramatic and theatrical work.
