Michael Curtis Hilyard was born in Portland, Oregon, in 1996. He is the
younger brother of Actress Crystal Marie Hilyard, and the nephew of
writer C. Edward Campbell.
Michael's first role was in the 2012 short film Cerulean, In which his sister was one of the main characters, and he portrayed a captive boy, directed by Tim Keenan B.
After Cerulean, Michael tagged along with his sister, attending photo shoots and various sets, until he later decided he wanted to peruse an acting career.
