Riley Rae Baker is a classically trained actress, writer and director known for grounded, emotionally specific performances across film, television and theatre. Having grown up moving from place to place, Baker found an early sense of home in storytelling. She later moved to New York City to train at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, beginning a professional career that would eventually take her to Los Angeles for nearly a decade.

Her screen credits include CSI: Immortality and Russell Dickerson’s "God Gave Me a Girl," while her stage work includes roles such as Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew, Abigail Williams in The Crucible and Queen Elizabeth in Shakespeare in Love. Her classical training and years of work on both coasts have shaped a performance style marked by emotional depth, quiet authority and an unguarded naturalism.

Now based in Arkansas, Baker continues to act while also working as an acting coach, writer and director. She is in the process of developing the feature adaptation of A Small Town Somewhere, expanding her work behind the camera while remaining rooted in the kind of intimate, character-driven storytelling that has always drawn her in. Away from a set, Baker is happiest with a camera in hand capturing a memory, on a mountain bike or somewhere outside with the people she loves. Whether in front of the camera or behind it, Baker is most interested in telling truthful stories that leave audiences feeling a little more human than they did before.
