Mini bio

  • Lish Bliss is an award-winning actress, writer, director, and producer raised on a farm in rural Wisconsin, where she learned to drive a tractor, shoot trap, ride horses, rope calves skills and a number of other skills that turn up in her special skills section. After years competing in rodeo events alongside a handful of shorts, choir, dance, and every school play that would have her, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment.

She began in theatre, earning her first Best Actress nominations as "Cisco" in Sam Shepard's "The Unseen Hand" and "Bunny" in John Guare's "The House of Blue Leaves." She then became a fixture of the Los Angeles comedy scene as a resident performer at iO West and M.i.'s Westside Comedy Theater, known for memorable characters, physical comedy, and uncannily accurate animal noises. She performs regularly with Mission IMPROVable, Cobranauts, JERALISH, There Will Be Snacks, and more.

On camera, she works across drama and comedy. Recent credits include "Good Bad Things" (AMC premiere, streaming on Hulu and Prime Video) and an Oscar-qualifying short film, with additional features and shorts in post-production. She trained for three years at the LACC Theatre Academy conservatory and continues her studies at Howard Fine Acting Studio and in Meisner technique under Joshua Bitton.

Behind the camera, Bliss began as a theatre director, where reviewers noted her as an emerging director to watch, before turning her focus to film. She's been directing shorts and a pilot, writing sketch comedy and films, and selling a vertical series to VertTV. As a producer, she has a slate of projects in various stages of development and production.
