Biography

Lea Becker is a writer and director, working in fiction and non-fiction for television and the big screen.

Lea’s newest show, the mystery thriller Die Düsteren (WT), was filmed in Belgium and will be released in mid 2026.

Previous projects include the Netflix show Kitz, the vampire show Love Sucks and Hellground, a dark comedy series now streaming on Netflix and Channel 4. Her movie Get Up saw its theatrical release by Constantin Film in 2023.

Lea graduated the University of Television and Film Munich with an MA in documentary film making. She also holds a BA in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts London and is an alumna of the BFA Fine Arts Programme at the Cooper Union in New York.

Lea has lived and worked all over Europe, mainly Germany, the UK, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium as well as in Argentina, South Africa, Australia, New York City and LA. She splits her time between Germany and Los Angeles.
