- Tune-Yards are inventive composers who combine their 15+ year-career as a band to create innovative and rule-breaking film and TV scores. Frequent collaborators of Boots Riley (I Love Boosters, I'm a Virgo, Sorry to Bother You), their music has been featured in visual media across many genres.
The duo's sixth studio record, "Better Dreaming", was released on the respected label 4AD in May 2025, and over the years they've collaborated with groundbreaking artists such as Yoko Ono, Laurie Anderson, and David Byrne.
In addition to composing for visual media, Tune-Yards continues to tour, known for explosive performances and transformative musical experiences which connect audiences to larger themes of political and social consciousness. They live in Oakland, California, where the band has been based since 2009.
