Daniel Needs
- Actor
Australian actor Daniel Needs, born July 22 1995, grew up in the coastal town of South West Rocks.
A graduate of Screenwise Film & TV School, Daniel established his international career in Vancouver with roles on The CW’s iZombie and the pilot for Charmed. He solidified his leading man status starring as the captain of the Australian swim team in the feature film Swimming for Gold.
His screen presence is anchored by a grounded authority. Before acting, Daniel worked as a professional beach lifeguard, snorkel guide, and deckhand on the Great Barrier Reef. These experiences required calm composure and instant leadership, and now inform the resilient, capable characters he brings to life.
Off-camera, Daniel has traversed extremes of land and sea: trekking to Everest Base Camp, climbing Austria's high-altitude via ferrata's, scuba diving with sharks, surfing remote coastlines from Western Australia to North Africa and completing the 850km Camino de Santiago on foot.
